Welcome Message from Chairman of 36th ARC
On behalf of the Asian Racing Federation, it gives me immense pleasure to extend a hearty and warm invitation to delegates and guests from all corners of the racing world to attend the 36th Asian Racing Conference. Scheduled to be held in Mumbai, India, from 24th to 29th January 2016, it promises to be a truly memorable experience. The Organising Committee is committed in their endeavor to give you a conference to remember and we sincerely look forward to your response, participation and attendance.
In what promises to be an action packed and eventful week, we will kick start the proceedings on Sunday 24th January, 2016. The venue – The historic Mahalaxmi Racecourse – home of the Indian Classics. We invite you to soak in the ambience and the flavor of a classic afternoon which will witness the running of the Grade – 1 Indian Oaks. In addition we have three more Graded Races the same afternoon which will also see the Asian Racing Federation Trophy. All in all, a veritable festival of racing and entertainment.
The bureau sessions and various committee meetings will be held on Monday, 25th January 2016 and the Business Sessions of the conference are slotted in between Tuesday, 26th to Thursday, 28th January 2016. The venue for all these sessions is the prestigious Oberoi and Trident Hotels, located on Marine Drive and overlooking the Arabian Sea and the “Queen’s Necklace” by which name the Marine Drive area is known. Many other hotels and restaurants are located within a short distance of the conference venue.
There will be a post-conference, Stud Farm Tour at the Poonawalla Stud Farms in Pune, which is a city in close proximity to Mumbai, a mere twenty minutes by air.
The conference promises an insight for racing administrators and others allied with the industry to share experience and exchange ideas. It presents an opportunity to observe and be a part of the presentations made by experts in the field of racing from across the world. Experts whose vast knowledge and grasp of the subject will provide you with an insight into the complexities that surround the sport of horse racing today.
All this and more while basking in the warmth of being in India – one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet.
